Some more salt

I started getting sick of cafetaria food in my first job and decided to cook & pack lunch. The food tasted good in the morning when I pack, but was tasting bland when I had it during lunch break. I called up my mom and asked her how did she make it work when I used to carry food to the school. She mentioned that I need to add more salt and spices than required if I am going to pack my food. I was surprised as more salt is bad for health and she said that was better than you not eating and bringing back the food. She said either pack it with more salt or add some when you are about to have your lunch. She said it is the same for making sweets, it will be too sweet when it is prepared but will lose its sweetness when it cools down and you have compensate for it.

Why am I talking about this? The parallel is for feedback, if feedback is not exchanged at the time of the event and reserved for later, then we may have to work a lot to get the desired impact of the feedback. As much as possible keep it close to the time you observe something, else we need to add salt and sugar to overcompensate which is bad for health.
